Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is a famous American actress, singer and model. She was a model for a while before becoming an actress. Her most famous work is the star of Prince's 1984 Purple Rain film and lead vocalist in the girl group Apollonia 6 The actor and singer named Apollonia by Prince and became one of a number of female musicians in the '80s to benefit from her association with the Purple One. She was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959 her career started as a model and actress in the late '70s with a role in the television series CHiPS. The lead female character in Prince's Purple Rain was her first part from 1984. Prince changed the girl's name in this period. She replaced Vanity with the female trio Vanity 6 to perform in the movie with Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. They scored a small success with the film Sex Shooter, but it was when Prince performed as his duet partner in Take Me with You from the soundtrack that she had a greater chart impact. When the two had a dispute about the direction of her career Apollonia 6 split up and Kotero quit her relationship with Prince. She then appeared in a couple of films that were minor in the late 1980s (reportedly refusing the opportunity to appear in the follow-up to Purple Rain Under the Cherry Moon) and then settled on an evening-time part in the dramatic Falcon Crest in 1985-1986. Apollonia was finally able to release her debut album in the year 1988. However, the album did not leave an lasting impression on fans of music and was soon obliterated from the spotlight. Through the years her career was a full-time actress with minor film roles and small TV shows. Apollonia's album "Stay With Me" was released in 1997. Later on, following going back to college and obtaining the degree of filmmaking, she formed her production company. Apollonia is a multi-talented woman. She's worked as model, actress and the talent manager. Her role as an actor in 1984's Purple Rain made her a celebrity. The other shows and films Kotero was a part of include Black Magic Woman and The Divorce Ceremony. Kotero debuted her career as a model. She participated in several pageants. Kotero took home her first prize at the Miss San Pedro Beauty Pageant. The actress began her career in the late 1980s. Together with Purple Rain, Kotero has appeared in numerous movies. Her popular films are Back To Back Black Magic Woman La Donna di una Sera and Cattive Ragazze. Furthermore, the American model has been seen in music videos featuring stars such as Ray Parker Jr. and Eddie Money. Kotero was also an entrepreneur and established Kotero Entertainment an entertainment company that specializes in multimedia entertainment company.
