Antonella Barba

Singer born on November 26th, 1986 in Santa Monica California United States of America. She is the child of her dad Vincenzo as well as her maternal grandmother Valerie Barba. In 2006, the couple moved with their family to Point Pleasant New Jersey. When she arrived in New Jersey, she finished her education at Red Bank Catholic High School. Her education continued in Catholic University where she earned an undergraduate degree in architecture. A violinist since age 4, Violingirl was her nickname. Performances by her led to the use of her nickname. She also taught children from within the community playing the violin. She also sang Free beginning in 1976 during the auditions for American Idol's sixth season when she was age 19. However, she was removed from the show after achieving the 16th spot. The singer has performed on several tracks such as 2009's "The Christmas song as well as 2010's Out for Blood. In addition, she appeared in some television shows including Jimmy Kimmel Live! Antonella Barba rose to stardom when she sang in America on the show's 6th season American Idol. The singer began her career on film following her expulsion from American Idol in six seasons. She played in some minor movies as well as appearing in Fear Factor season 2012 as contestant roles. According to Daily Mail reports on November 21st of 2019, she was sentenced to almost 4 years in jail in connection with a conspiracy to sell the drug fentanyl. On July 21, the artist admitted to having more than 400 grams Fentanyl on her person in the hopes of selling the drug. The singer was however detained in Virginia at the end of October in 2018, when she attempted to transport two pounds of fentanyl into a stashhouse.
