Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March of 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker also a former worker at a factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone started second grade in kindergarten at age five. She graduated from Saegertown High School located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. A winner of Miss Crawford County, she also participated in her first Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone moved to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt, to take on a job as a model. In less than a month she signed up with Ford Modeling Agency. Then, she relocated to Europe and spent an entire year living in Milan as well as Paris. Stone was however dissatisfied in Europe by the fashion industry, and decided to venture into acting. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," the film which got mixed praises.
